  1. The Glore which is one of the Chief tributaries of the Moy rises in this district just at its source there is a deep pool called Poll an chaire. The following story as to its beginning is told.
    A certain man in the district often worked on his farm on Sundays. The neighbours tried to persuade him to go to Church but he laughed at their efforts. On a certain Good Friday The people of the (dri) district went to the Church to perform stations. The scoffer remained at work, Suddenly the ground opened - man plough horse disappeared. Non trace of him was found - the deep dark pool remains. It is said that on clear evenings the handles of the plough can be seen at the bottom of the hole.
