  1. There are two graveyards in this parish namely Bekan and Tulrahan. Tulrahan is situated some few hundred yards from this school.
    This graveyard properly speaking is in the townland of Kildara which may mean the church of the oaks or Dara's Church or cell.
    Probably the later as there was an old tradition that there was a church there in former times as the field opposite the graveyard is still called "Páirc á Teampaill.
