- There are four tailors in this district. They work at their own homes, they do not travel from house to house as they did in the olden times. Some of the tailors stock the cloth.
The cloth is not spun or woven locally. The tailor uses tweed in the making of clothes.
There is an old saying "As deep as a tailors thimble, and as nimble as a tailor."
The implements the tailor uses are a thimble a needle and thread, a sewing-machine, a measuring tape and a smoothing iron.
Sometimes shirts are made in the homes. Shirts were not made from flax, but other clothes were such as sheets and table cloths.
