- Travelling folk still visit our house. The same people have been doing so for many years. They seem to be poor. Some of them sell small articles. They obtain their supplies in the nearest town. Some of the travellers are welcomed. There are a great many different kinds of travellers. Their names are beggars, hawkers, gipsies and tinkers. The beggars are very poor and are always begging for alms. They get their lodgings in country houses, and sometimes in towns.
The hawkers sell small articles and they live in the towns. The gipsies are not poor and they live in big camps by the roadside. The tinkers are poor and they camp out. Most of the Travellers accept alms. The take eggs, butter, milk, flour, sugar, tea and meat. Some of them travel on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
