- There is a blessed well called Cioran in the townland of Mynodlay near Beloanna.
People go there every year in the month of August.
They do the stations at this well. Women long ago used walk from Ballinrobe barefooted carrying their shoes in a red handkerchief and they would be fasting. They used t walk about 30 miles back and over. The used to say the rosary. They used to drink about half a glass of water and brung home a big bottle and bless every one in the house.
