When a man of the name O'Malley in Gorthoon? was digging an old sandpit he found a bag of old coins. He cleaned them and found they were old pennies dating back to the fifteenth century. He sold them to a man in Tuam for two pounds. The (m) man in Tuam sent them to the museum.
John Davin, Dalgan told this story.
