  1. Long ago the meals consisted of breakfast, dinner, and tea. They used to work for a few hours in the morning before eating.
    The people had to use potatoes for their three meals. Milk was also drunk with them. The people sat round the table that was left on the middle of the floor. Sometimes when not in use it was hung up by the wall because the houses were two small to hold a lot of things.
    Oat meal bread was usually eaten because you wouldn't need much of it for a meal. Meat was very seldom used for the people hadn't it. The American bacon they generally used for they had no home-cured meat.
    People usen't eat late at night because they couldn't sleep after it.
