- Long ago when a person used die the clock used be stoped. This was to signify the peace and quietness of the soul after death.
The vessels and medicines which the dead person used, used be left at the left hand side of the house. It was said that this prevents evil spirits from attacking the soul.
To hear a hen crowing it is the sign of a death. To see a funeral divided into three parts is also a sign of another funeral in the same village.
It is said that until the clothes are washed after the death of a person the soul gets no rest.
If a person went into a house whilst a churning was being made it is believed that this person(continues on next page)
