  1. Long ago there lived a black-smith who was very poor. He had a wife and a large family. One day an Angel from Heaven appeared to him in the forge. He promised him three wishes. The first wish wass that anybody who would sit on his chair would fasten to it until he would release him. The second wish was that he sledge would fasten to the hands of the person would use it until he would release him. Third wish was that nobody could open his purse but himself. The Angel told him he was lost when he did not wish for heaven. When the Angel left, the devil appeared to him and told him he would make him rich for seven years
