  1. About twenty years ago toys were very costly and the children used to make them themselves.
    One toy that was very plenty was a cloth doll.
    First of all the strip of cloth about six ins long and was sewed down the two sides and a hole was left at the top for a head. Then saw-dust was put into it and the cloth was sewed at the bottom to keep it from coming out.
    Then four sticks were covered with cloth and two legs were sewed on.
    Rags were got and
