  1. The old tale on next page was supplied to the teacher by Michael Moran, who also gave the two first contributions in the book.
    Michael Moran is still hale and hearty and owns portions of the land across the river, opposite the wonderful ruin and Noggin House mentioned in the tale.
    His wife now deceased (25 years) was more than once in conversation with Stanhope Kenny, whose ancestors were at one time owners of Elm Hall in the time of its wonderful glory.
