  1. The following are some “cures” among the people of my district.
Toothache:- It is said if you comb your hair on Saturday night, and not to comb it on Sunday, it will cure a Toothache.
Earache:- Black wool dipped in sweet oil, and heated to the fire, will cure an Earache.
Measles:- The juice of a nettle in hot milk.
Warts:- If you cut a raw potato in four parts, and rub each part to the warts, then bury it, and when the potato is rotten, the warts will have disappeared.
Chin-cough:- When a person gets the chin-cough, the best cure is to catch a live fish in the river, and pour three drops of water from the fish's mouth down the person's throat, and afterwards let the trout go away without killing him.
