    Sun. At the setting of the sun if the western horizon is red people say that it is a good sign for fine weather. If in the morning the eastern horizon is of a pale yellow it is a sure indication of rain.
    Moon. The moon rising red indicates frost. A ring round the moon denotes rain
    Stars To see the stars bright and twinkling in the sky is a sign of frost.
    Clouds. When we see a bank of clouds along the western horizon it is a sign of rain a storm and when they are low and travelling inland it is a sign of rain.
    Rainbow The rainbow in the morning is the shepherds warning and the rainbow in the night is the shepherds delight
    Cat. When we see the cat with his back to the fire it is a sure sing of rain
    Dog. When we see the dog nibbling at the grass we can expect rain.
    Swallows. In Summer if we see the swallows flying low it is a sign of rain but if we see them flying high it is a
