Along the road side there would be more tents containing sweets, cockles, apples, oranges, sugar-candy, sugar cane and numerous little items like them.
On the green also there would be police walking up and down in order to separate the people when they would begin to fight. All day long the public houses would be full of people arguing and making bargains.
