“There was a weaver living in Derryfadda where Geofrey Madden is living now.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)He ran down to the room and went into the bed between the two fellows (weavers he had employed). With that seven or eight men (the fairies) the soldiers he followed on the road came in to the room and stood over the bed. One would say "this is him" and another would say it wasn't. In any case the man that spoke first insisted on saving him. So he went away and he saw no more of them.
When he got up in the morning he expected everything in the house would be broke up but when he got up the door was bolted as he left it and nothing was disturbed.
