  1. In November it is thought that fairies
    have great power besides any other
    month. One Evening late in November
    Kate McHugh of leitrim went to Conways
    well for water. The well is under
    a beautiful high rock and on the
    side of the rock there grows a fairy
    fort. When Kate stepped to the well
    to get water her foot slipped and she fell.
    Now it is a bad sign
    to fall at a well and when Kate
    got up she looked around and it
    seemed to her as if she was in a
    strange place. To her amazment
    she saw a big crowd sitting around
    a big fire and laughing and apparently
    enjoying themselves on the rock.
    Just then she did not
