Phil Lennon, he was a poet, a cured quare fellow.

Phil Lennon, he was a poet, a cursed grave fellow.
He was in town wan day and he was on the look one for another Camross man by the name of Martin Dempsey.
He went up to a police man and asked him if he see him. "Sure I dont know Martin Dempsey" says the policeman.
"well", says Phil, "if you see any fellow with two cracked hands a pair of broken legs, and a hole in his jaw and a rag in it that's Martin Dempsey"
Martin Dempsey had two very bendy legs, and he'd hand as hard as the devil, and he had a sore in his jaw and 'twas always [?], and he used have a rag to it.
