  1. On a Sunday evening about six o'clock about fifty boys and girls used to gather at the cross of Lomcoole and dance away until dark on the road. They had fiddlers to play for 'em. "Twas twice as safe for girls to be out that time
    There was a right dancing masters going around then. His name was Johnny Redmond.
    They had no sets, but all trebles and singles.
    Four used to get out dancing a jig, two girls and two boys.
