  1. The Cromwellian soldiers fired at the castle from Fort Mountain, and shattered the top of it.
    A cannon ball also struck the cross (St. Munn's Cross) which was just beside the castle, and blew one arm off it.
    There is supposed to be a cure in that cross for warts and toothache
