- There is an ould fellow going around Laghmon, they call him Nucknán, and sometimes Nuck for shortnens.
There were people living in Camras wan time and they kept a pocán (a he-goat) Wan day Nuck was going with a goat to the pocán. When he came to the place he learned that the pocán had dies; so he had to turn home again without getting the job done. On his way home he met another person going with a goat to the pocán: And you knows Nuck talks all through his nose, eafecially a word with the letter "p" he couldnt manage it.
"Where ya goin'?" says Nuck.
"I'm going to the pocán," says the person
Oh, caint! says Nuck," the Nucknán (pocán) is dead"
Ever since the ould man is call the "nucknán"
