awaiting decision
The cliffs and the headland
Now rise into view
The vale and the woodland
Of emerald hue.
The pathways of bloom
And the tall shady trees
In the wafted perfume
Of a song-laden breeze.
Each high-wooded slope
Whispers down to the sea
And the tow'ring cliffs ope
As it sparkles in glee.
O'er the silvery sand
Toward a valley of green
From the sentinel stand
Of the rugged 'Plankeen;.
My fancy would find
Every cavern and rock
The pathways that wind
To the Park and the Knock.
