Rub suet already rendered on the chilblains for three nights before retiring. The sight juice that remains in the suet when rubbed on the chilblains will cure them.

Get a small piece of lard and a teaspoonful of salt and mix(ed) them together, (?) to form an onitment. Rub this ointment on the chilblains for three mornings and then they will be cured
