A few words about myself

I had two Irish grandparents, born in the 1880s in Co.Longford and Co.Down, about whom I knew almost nothing; I am gradually finding out a little. Any transcriptions I do here are a thank you to Ireland for all the resources I have found online. They are helping me to trace my Irish family.
I have been involved in education, including teaching, throughout my career. I have discovered that both my Irish grandparents were primary school teachers - but in England and Wales, not Ireland.
