A few words about myself

From Killargue, Co Leitrim and now living in Sligo for nearly 40 years. Originally trained as a Primary Teacher before entering the sales profession. Earlier this year I did the editing, design, layout and proof reading on a collection of short stories by my wife that we self-published. I remember several of the people mentioned in THE SCHOOLS' FOLKLORE COLLECTION from my area, Cill Fhearga (roll number 15128). In fact Mícheál Ó Gallchobhair who is listed as the Teacher was still 'the master' when I started school there in 1952. I was delighted to transcribe some of the articles from my area - especially those of Mrs Slevin/Slavin who was a wonderful story teller and from whom I learned a lot of local history whenever I brought her milk.
