The Winter is approaching again
And softly the sunshine is peeping
Through the trees at the back of the mill2. There the blackbird will sing in the evening
And go peaceful to rest when it's dark
For he who disturbed them when sleeping
Is gone and will never come back.3. Now his home is vacant and lonely
But the swallows will chat on the sill
They will mourn his loss when in Summer they cross
