a very sore eye and very weak sight was brought by her mother to a well in Co. Cork. After a few rounds of the beads at the well the child said that she could see the butterflies flying around. From that time her sight was much improved.

Chilblain. Pour paraffin oil on the chilblain.
Cut. (a) Wash the cut with hot water and drink a cup of new milk.
(b) Poultice the cut with hot linseed meal and rest the cut leg.
Mumps. Rub a slice of hot bacon to them.
