    Cold. Rub whiskey to the chest and place brown paper on it when going to bed.
    Boil. Make a poultice of soap and sugar and rub to the boil.
    Bleeding. A key put down the back will stop a bleeding nose.
    Flu. Boil an onion in milk and take before bedtime.
    Sore throat. Fill a stocking with salt and tie around throat.
    Warts. (a) Rub the juice of the dandelion to the wart. (b) steal a piece of fat meat and rub it to the warts.
