  1. Long ago there lived in Bearna na Madra near Kilwatermoy a woman by the name of Doran who had an amount of money. Before she died she buried all the money she had beside a blackthorn tree. Her death occurred three days after she had buried the money. There is a light seen where the money is buried. Attempts were made by the people of the neighbouring place to cut the tree but they failed. Among these was one brave man named John Supple who going by
