    Whistle. A whistle can be made out of a horse-chestnut by boring a hole in it.
    Catapult. When making a catapult a forked stick, two strips of rubber and a piece of leather are required. The rubber is tied to one piece on each fork of the stick and to the leather. When made, a stone is put into the leather. It is then pulled back. The object to be hit is in front of the fork. The leather is then let go and the stone flies out with great force.
    Bow and Arrow. A good springy stick tied at both ends with a slight bend in it forms the bow. A good straight stick makes the arrow.
