  1. People often talk about the mermaid which is a half woman and half fish.
    People who have walked near Pewbury House have often seen a white rabbit or hare running round in a circle about the house.
    It always runs on the one track and when dogs are set at it they can not catch it and then it suddenly disappears. Another dog is seen near Green Hills Castle with chains on its neck.
