  1. There is a man in this town named Edward Doyle who fell away from his religion. One night his mother (who was dead) appeared to him and said "Son mend your ways." After that he became very holy but fell away again.
    It is said that when the priest was preaching a general conversation went on between him and the people. It is said that there was once a mass said in the tunnell between Old Kilcullen and New Abbey.
