    Many of the customs the old-folks had are now discontinued. In that time the boys had much more sport than the boys have now.
    The boys used to get a tin and put paper in it. Then they would put tar in it and set it alight. After that they would hang it on the knocker of a door, knock and then run.
    Another trick was to tie a piece of string from one knocker to one opposite sides of the street. Then they would knock at one door. When the person would open the door and close it again the other
