    forge in Kilcullen is covered with felt and boards. The hob is made of "blue tom". and a small lare of "cement". They shoe, horses, ponies, donkeys and mends ploughs and other implements. My father shoes wheels in the open air and leaves them in the "Liffey" when finished
    The smiths tools are, the hammer pincers, anvil, vice, knife, rasp punch, drill, stamp and others.
