    it with flour, bread-soda and buttermilk to wet it. It is then put on a griddle left there until it is ready.
    Potatoe cake is made in much the same way only the potatoes are boiled and the cake is put in the "bacus" with red cinders on and beneath the socalled oven.
    The cake used to be made three times a week Monday, Wednesday, and friday.
