  1. On Hallow E'en night 1874 a native of Gormanstown William Keogh was going over a railway-bridge. He heard a banshee crying At last he got angry with the banshee and said "If I had you I would hit you across the face."
    After a while he looked over the bridge and a hand hit him across the face. From that on his face was cold in that spot.
