There was a man going to Mass one Sunday by the side of the Liffey.
The man saw another man swimming and he said he would go for a swim and not go to mass. While the man was swimming he was drowned.
Long ago masses of this district were said in New Abbey monastery. The ruins of the monastery are to be seen there still.
