February every year crosses are made of rushes and blessed and some are left at the well.

About 60 years ago there were three legged pots which were called skittles. Every night one of those were filled with oaten meal and water and boiled. The next morning it would be placed on the middle of the floor and the household would sit around it and eat out of it with big spoons.
