  1. The local saint of Kilcullen Parish is St Brigid. The name Kilcullen church got was St Brigids Church. Near the church there is a well called St Brigids well which is visited by all the nuns and people of Kilcullen on St Brigids feast day.
    Kilcullen church is also called the church of the holly taken from the Irish word for Kilcullen.
    St Brigid was born in Faughard Co Louth but she spent most of her time in Kildare. On the 1st of
