There is a weed called Sea weed. Iodine is made from it. - Potatoes are sowed in drills in this district. The drills are made in our garden with a shovel, A good crop is got in it every year. They are dug out with a spade and put in a pit. To prevent blight they are sprayed washing soda and blue stone. This preserves the crop and they(continues on next page)
