  1. In the year 1902 a great wind blew over Ireland. It did a great lot of damage in Phoenix Park. It blew down all the trees, blocked roads with trees and a lot more. It blew tops off houses an blew the roof off the ditillary in Tullamore which took over a year to mend. My father aged about 56 told me that story.

    Long ago there were no schools because the English were in country. The English had a different language and a different faith. The children were taken together and were taught in some one's house,
