- In the year 1902 a great wind blew over Ireland. It did a great lot of damage in Phoenix Park. It blew down all the trees, blocked roads with trees and a lot more. It blew tops off houses an blew the roof off the ditillary in Tullamore which took over a year to mend. My father aged about 56 told me that story. School in Olden Times
Long ago there were no schools because the English were in country. The English had a different language and a different faith. The children were taken together and were taught in some one's house,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
