  1. There is an old game by the name of "Quoits". This game was played by putting two large stones on the side of the road better known as motties about eight feet apart.
    Then two players would get two pieces of of thin flags or slates dressed about the shape of small plates to pitch at the motties. Then they would pitch at the motties.
