There was also a storm in 1862 the depth was about 5 1/2 feet. A Sledge had to come through the town to clear it. It came from Harristown it was drawn by two horses.
Mrs Doyle aged 62 told me the following story. - Paul Muris is so called because a woman was riding a horse. She fell off the horse and broke her neck.
