  1. Long ago the people in Ireland were not alowed to go to mass. They used to say mass in caves and tunnells and behind hedges. They used to say it in a tunnell running from Old Kilcullen to Newabbey. Mass was sometimes said in the Glen of Imaal in Co. Wicklow.
