  1. Finn Mac Cool was a most powerful man. One day he went up to the Hill of Allen and taking a long huge stone in his hand threw it from there to Punchestown, a distance of about ten miles. This stone weighs around three ton and it stood upright in the ground in the centre of a big field until about three years ago. It is now lying flat on the ground.
