  1. On one occasion a priest from Kilcullen was summoned to attend a sick girl in Nicholastown. The priest was passing an old riun and he heard lovely singing. As it happened the priest was very fond of singing.
    He stopped his horse and went into the ruin and he saw two big black dogs with their paws up against the wall singing, "Her hair was thrown over her shoulders tied up with a black velvet band."
    He ran out as quick as he could and jumped up on his horse and galloped as hard as he could to attend the
