If the farmers inconvenience fairies by interfering with any old forts, moats or castles in any way such as putting up gates or fencing or cutting down bushes around those old fairy dwellings, they would revenge it on them. Some farmers suffered heavy losses through interfering with any fairy residence, and up to the present day the old people would not let anyone interfere with such places if they could prevent it.
