  1. A woman in Kilcullen cures a disease called the Minara. She has a herb growing in the garden and she brings it in and she rubs it in a saucer with water in it, and she rubs the wet herb on her hand and if froth comes on the saucer you have the Minara. Then the person must go in to her for three days, she blesses herself and says three Hail Mary‘s and she anoints the insteps and the soles of the feet and the backs and palms of the hands and the neck, the forehead and then she gives three spoonfuls of it to the person to drink
