  1. We sow a half an acre of potatoes every year. The way we preapre the ground is we plough it and harrow it and then we open the drills. Then we put out the manure in rows. Then the seed is cut and dropped in the drills a foot apart. Then we cover them in with a double board plough.
    When they are about six inches over the ground they are landed.
