They come round to the houses and they ask for food and clothes and when they got anything they say a little prayer such as. The Lord and Mary may bless you or that you may be twice as good the next time I see you, or the Lord increase your store. There are a great many tinkers that come to my parish such as the Doyle's, Casey's, Fury's, McCarthy's, the Delaney's, Donovan's.
